The enactment of the curfews is one of the safety and security measures against the Hurricane Harvey that struck since August 25. The cities that have so far enacted curfew include: South Houston, Webster, League City, Friendswood and Pasadena. People in these areas were advised to stay of the road as there might be high waters. It was also gathered that criminal-minded individuals have started exploiting the needy condition of the residents, claiming to be Police but with the criminal intention such as looting. People against this development were advised to be cautious of whom they open door for, who claims to be Police. It was a macabre Sunday in Ozubulu, Anambra State yesterday, August 6, 2017 where unknown gunmen stormed a Catholic church and mowed down defenseless worshippers in their numbers. The police from prima facie investigation called it a drug war brought home from South Africa, and said nothing about terrorism. The theory shows the extent we have gone into believing terrorism as only what religions, states or subnational groups do. Don’t get it twisted, private individuals can also mount terrorism. "I want to kill all Muslims" was what the man who carried out that attack was shouting when he was subdued and captured. And it does sound very much like what a terrorist would say. But, he could as well be a mad man whose uncontrollable brain waves told to "kill all Muslims". Or he could be someone with a very deep grudge against the Muslims. So, is he terrorist? Technically speaking, the answer would be yes. The reason behind this is that he attempted a mass murder of all the Muslims coming out of the mosque in Finsbury Park, London. The 24 storey building located in North Kensington, west London,  busted in flames. That tragic incident which took place on 13th June got so many people devastated. Many lives were lost and several others are critically injured. When the Met Police Commander Stuart Cundy was asked to make a statement on the number of victims of that accident that died or were injured. He said that approximately 80 people died or were presumed dead (because they were missing) while 18 people is in critical care at the hospital. However, he noted that they are still researching on the issue. So, the numbers are likely to change. The government had already started releasing some funds to the families of the deceased and the injured.

For a long time now, Nigeria had been the hot seat of many controversies and tragedies. This had led to the attraction of sympathy from countries near and far away from Nigeria on the map. This 'sympathy' normally comes in the shape of relief materials to those affected by Ebola, flood, and Boko Haram. However, it has been reported by the acting president of Nigeria himself that most of the relief materials never reach the supposed recipients. So, what's happening? The FA Cup winners, Arsenal have agreed a deal with the 23 year old left-back, Kolasinac which runs until 2022. The Bosnia-Herzegovina defender who played for Schalke is due to join the Gunners by July 1, 2017, after the expiration of his contract with the club. Arsenal, who have been linked with a big-money move for the Monaco forward Kylian Mbappé, announced Kolasinac had signed a long-term contract.

Following the warning by South African Weather Service of an approaching cold front - which it says comes with "heavy rainfall, strong winds, and  waves between 9m and 12m along the coastal areas of the Cape Peninsula," the City of Cape Town has issued a "high alert" to residents to  keep calm and do everything possible to keep safe as the storm approaches on Tuesday night.
