6 Confirmed Medicinal Values of Okra Vegetable

6 Confirmed Medicinal Values of Okra Vegetable

One of the early confusions I battled with as a child was that okra is a vegetable. I wondered what fruits were if okra qualifies as a vegetable. That was so many years ago.

Okra is a vegetable used to cook soup especially in West Africa in general and Nigeria in particular. The vegetable is rich in medicinal values and that is the crux of this post. We are going to discuss the medicinal benefits of the plant which you would be surprised to hear.

I have eaten okra of several preparations for an unbroken one year but that was not until I discovered the therapeutic and preventive potentials of the divine gift to mankind, okra.

1. Okra cures infertility in both men and women. The message is written all over the wall of okra that it cures infertility. It increases spermatozoa count in male. Human semen is slimy just like a typical okra fluid. Substantial consumption of okra quickens the production of semen. Above all, it strengthens men sexually.

In women, it renders ovary productive. A dissection of an okra plant will reveal ova sticking to the ovary in a way similar to that of women. Okra helps ovary to produce as much eggs/ova as possible which are ready for fertilization.

2. Okra quickens digestion and eases defecation. Hard faeces could result in pile. Okra softens faeces for smooth passage via the anus. Indigestion quakes at the site of okra.

3. Okra keeps your colon clean and healthy because it contains fibre.

4. Research has also shown that it cures and prevents diabetes.

5. Okra makes you a better singer if you are interested in singing career. The secret of the voice of Celine Dion is an okra taken raw first thing every morning and flushed down with a glass of water.

6. Okra prevents rapid aging. It renders skin smooth and luxuriant.

Dear reader, it pays to eat Okra often; both cooked and raw.

LIMITATIONS OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS: A FOCUS ON THE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATIONS

Introduction International relations which was generally seen as relations among nations and entities in the international arena begets international organizations. An international organization is a union of actors in the international arena, formed to perform specified functions and/or solve identified problems for the members and/or non members. The concept of an international organization can also be seen on the one hand as a logical progression in the evolution of political entities from the basic family or tribal grouping of pre- and early historic times to the feudal arrangements of early Europe which emerged following Peace of Westaphalia in 1648 (Imber 1984). A second perspective on international organization is that as being something antithetical to the state in effect an external entity which may subsume or destroy the state. This latter view is held by many chauvinists and protectionists who find the economic, political and cultural mongrelization which they claim...
