Terrorism and the State: Fear Grips New York as People Were Photographed Carrying Rifles

New reaching us from New York says that the NYPD have issued "Be on the look out" alert after a retired NYPD officer captured in a photograph several people carrying what appear like assault rifles in Midland Beach parking lot.

They have mounted checking points which cause traffic hitches in Staten Island on Friday.

The military installations in the area have equally stepped up security due to the Chatanooga shootings that claimed the lives of four marines and that of the gunman.
