The Muslim umar marks the 3 day feast of Eid el-Fitr beginning from today bringing to an end the one month Ramadan daylight fasting. The festival has been described as a period of sober reflection and return to God.
Ramadan “is a time to get closer to God and it’s a really special month to us,” said Imam Yahya Momla of the B.C. Muslim Association.
