Google Fibre, An Ultra-High Speed Internet Connection to Be Launched in Atlanta and Three Other US Cities
The ultra-high speed internet connection
otherwise known as Goggle Fibre will soon feature in four US cities of Atlanta,
Charlotte, N.C., Raleigh-Durham, N.C. and Nashville, Tenn.
This is an internet connection
of 1 gigabyte per second speed: ten times of an average US city internet speed.
This is the last port of call to the careful expansion of the service by Google.
Google in preparation to this
decision to launch the service in the above mentioned metros have invited the
local news agencies of the benefiting areas to a meeting.
The Atlanta and Nashville
events are scheduled for Tuesday, Raleigh and Charlotte on Wednesday and Durham
Thursday, according to local news reports.
In Kansas when the service was
launched in 2012, Google, the Big G, charged the $80 dollar for the internet
service and $120 for additional Cable TV package.
Some considered this Google Fibre
as an experiment to making other internet service providers to upgrade their
service. Google on the other hand called it a “real business.”
