Facebook and Instagram Come Back Online After a 30 Minute Outage

Facebook comes back online after about 30 minutes of outage. A notorious hack team, Lizard Squad claimed responsibility which the Facebook spokesperson quickly denied.


“Earlier this evening many people had trouble accessing Facebook and Instagram. This was not the result of a third party attack but instead occurred after we introduced a change that affected our configuration systems. We moved quickly to fix the problem, and both services are back to 100% for everyone.”

It should be recalled that Liberty Squad launched the acclaimed attacks on Malaysia’s Airline website, Xbox Live and Play Station last Christmas.

Since then, their name has been on the lips of every game player. Their logo of a Tuxedo wearing lizard is unmistakable.

Army of Facebook users took to Twitter lamenting the outage; some were humorous.
A user wrote, “I don't always go on @twitter, but when I do it's to check if @facebook is down.”

Another was quite interesting: “Facebook and Instagram have been down for 30 mns. Just read 4 books.”
