Obudu Cattle Ranch in Nigeria: Heaven on Earth

Resort centres in Nigeria
Obudu Cattle Ranch Gate

Obudu Cattle Ranch otherwise known as the Obudu Mountain Resort; proudly Nigerian. I could still remember feeling that I was in cloud 9 in the Ranch. Wow! the memories are all over me again even as I write.

Well, there is enough evidence to argue that the Ranch was formerly the Garden of Eden. I believe, that Eden was once in Nigeria!

On reaching at the Ranch, one is welcomed by a spectacular sight of a gate not known from any civilization with a cattle head hanging regally at the middle of the two gate posts. This sight, as a first impression is accentuated with a very cool weather where the sun appear to be cautious with shinning. I personally spent close to an hour luxuriating in the aesthetic environment at the gate. I expected more inside the ranch and I was not disappointed.

Inside the Ranch proper, I saw a breathtaking highland of a very high altitude above the see level. The height was according to sources, over 1,700 meters above see level. So high that it ran into the clouds. At the top of the height is a vast and lush table land.

There are two means of making it to the heights: through the cable cars, adjudged the longest in the world; and through the uphill road made more exiting by the hair-pins on it known as the Devil's Elbow.

The Canopy is another wonderful sight. A veeeery thick forest that is so thick that it screens the sun. The Canopy Tree house is built for nature admirers viewing monkeys, gorillas and aesthetic birds of the forest.

The waterfalls are also another natural features of the Ranch.

At the top of the heights, clouds would descend on you that you will be like, "let us build three tents here; one for Abraham, one for Moses and one for yourself," LOL.

LIMITATIONS OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS: A FOCUS ON THE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATIONS

Introduction International relations which was generally seen as relations among nations and entities in the international arena begets international organizations. An international organization is a union of actors in the international arena, formed to perform specified functions and/or solve identified problems for the members and/or non members. The concept of an international organization can also be seen on the one hand as a logical progression in the evolution of political entities from the basic family or tribal grouping of pre- and early historic times to the feudal arrangements of early Europe which emerged following Peace of Westaphalia in 1648 (Imber 1984). A second perspective on international organization is that as being something antithetical to the state in effect an external entity which may subsume or destroy the state. This latter view is held by many chauvinists and protectionists who find the economic, political and cultural mongrelization which they claim...
