Seif al-Islam Gadhafi, the son of the deposed Libyan leader, Col. Muamar Ghadaffi has been sentenced to death by firing squad by a Libyan court, for atrocities he committed during the 2011 Libyan Civil war. He was accused of buying mercenaries that attacked civilian camps and shot into the crowd during demonstrations. The ex-dictator's son was convicted with eight other pro-Ghadaffi figures who bagged different jail terms including life imprisonments. It is however unlikely that the executioners could lay their hands on Seif al-Islam Gadhafi as the militia in Western Libya were reluctant to handing over the convict to the government since four years ago.
