NASA releases the first ever close up images of the dwarf planet, Pluto. From the images taken, 50 miles from Pluto by the New Horizon unmanned spacecraft, there were icy heights as high as the Rockies; there were also Canyons on the planet's moon, Charon. Conspiracy theorists however described those images as a hoax by NASA. The New Horizon phoned home and declared the mission a success to a tumultous shout of joy from the NASA staff. Presently, the spacecraft is already one million miles beyond Pluto and three billion miles from the Earth.

Oskar Gröning, 94, known as the Nazi Bookkeeper in his heyday faces trial for abetting the Holocaust seven decades ago. Opinions were divided about the verdict on him - on one side were those that stood for justice; arguing that he should be dully punished even when he has openly pleaded for forgiveness. The justice divide considered his plea for forgiveness immaterial since the 300 000 Hungarian Jews that were killed with his accomplice were not granted any sympathy. On the other divide were people who argued that punishing a nonagenarian for an offence he was only an accomplice while most of the Holocaust kingpins went unscathed, would be wrong. The Wiesenthal centre’s chief Nazi hunter Efraim Zuroffthose have asked those who question the point of jailing nonogenarian ex-Nazis,  not to picture Oskar Gröning as he was now, but as he was then. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA has achieved the Pluto flyby today with the New Horizon Space craft that left the earth nine years ago.NASA also has released an image taken by the space craft 16 hours before the flyby. The latest image being expected tomorrow is the image taken while closest to the farthest planet of the solar system. "New Horizons was 476,000 miles from the surface at the time this photo was taken, but it got as close as 7,500 miles, so we can expect more detailed images to emerge," Venturebeat.com. Other pictures released was the planet's moon, Charon. It is believed that this ground breaking discovery by NASA would dymistify some mysteries sorrounding the dwarf planet.

Bryan Williams, 46, popularly known as Birdman molested Lil Wayne in Jim Jones birthday party in Miami. From a vantage VIP section he poured wine on the "Glory" Rapper who had taken stage for performance. People pointed at Birdman as the culprit; others even called him by his name. The former Lil Wayne boss shook his head and shrugged. The duo fell out after Jayz signed Wayne. The feud seems to be intesifying. Reps of the two celebs declined comments on the issue.
