Eucharia Anunobi is Trending in Nigeria Because of the Death of Her Son

A popular Nollywood actress, Eucharia Anunobi, alongside industry colleagues, buried her son, Raymond, on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Ikoyi cemetery. The ranks of actors and actresses of the industry present to commiserate with the bereaved were actresses Ini Edo, Omoni Oboli, Uche Jombo, Monalisa Chinda, Chinedu Ikedieze, Chinyere Wilfred, and Ebele Okaro. The well-wishers present at the burial all maintained a composed poise as they comforted the actress, while they settled to take photos after the burial.



The late Raymond Ekwu, 15, who was Eucharia’s only son, passed on after a protracted battle with sickle cell anaemia.



It should be recalled that the actress turned Minister of God who was filled with joy staged a 10th birthday bash for her handsome and lovely son,Raymond Ekwu at Heritage Orphanage Home,Anthony Village,Lagos in 2012.

In a telephone chat with Saturday Beats on Wednesday, she said she would miss everything about her son especially the fact that she would no longer come home to him.


“Thank you very much for sympathising with me. I am going to miss everything about my son. Now, there would be no one that would call me to say ‘Mummy where are you? You said you would be home by 7:30 and now it is 7:45. You are 15 minutes late.’ That was how close we were and he was my best friend. I cannot talk much now because I am in the hospital but once I am free, we would talk better,” she said.
