The Lawmakers summoned Minister of Power, Mr Babatunde Fashola; Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun; Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Ahmad Ali (retd), and others over their alleged roles in the engagement of Pre-shipment Inspection Agents which violated Procurement Act of 2007.

The Lawmakers invited a total of six persons to appear on the floor of the House to clear themselves of the allegations on the breach of protocols as it concerns the 2007 Procurement Act. The are as follows: Minister of Power, Mr Babatunde Fashola; Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun; Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Ahmad Ali (retd), Director-General of Industrial Training Fund, ITF, Joseph Ari; Managing Director of Cobalt Nigeria Ltd, Mr Darlington Agha, and Managing Director, Trobell Int’l Nig Ltd, Sede Thomas.

When are the persons summoned by the Lawmakers in respect of the violation of the Procurement Act 2007 are expected to appear before the House Committee?

They are expected to appear before the committee next Tuesday.
