Lagos, Nigeria: Unknown gunmen have killed an All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain Mr. Shalewa Daramola, at Festac Town, in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The victim who was the Assistant Treasurer of APC, Amuwo Odofin was said to have stepped out of his car when one of the assaillants approached him and requested for money and whom the party chieftain thought was a begger and told him that he hadn't money.
The culprit then shot the party chieftain in chest and entered a waiting motorbike and sped off.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and doctor declared him Dead on Arrival.
Spokesman for Lagos State Police Command, Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incidence and revealed that investigations are ongoing.
