Girl Gang Raped to Death on Valetine's Day in Imo State, Nigeria

A day after the Valentine celebration, the people of Umunneato autonomous community in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria were surprised to find a nude corpse dumped on a road in their community.


An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said that there were bruises on the breasts and the private parts of the victim; which make the villagers to theorize that it was a case of serious gang rape.

The witness said: “I am not too sure that it was a case of ritual killing because no part of the girl, on the face value, was missing.

“It is, to me, a case of brutal gang-raping to death of the unfortunate girl.”

Eze Leo Nwokocha, the community’s royal father said that the identity of the perpetrators of the dastardly act was still unknown; that they would be fished out to face the full wrought of the law.

According to the royal father, police stormed the scene soon after getting wind of the incident and removed the corpse. He expressed optimism that the perpetrators would soon be caught up with.

The body of the girl had been moved to the morgue of Aboh Mbaise General Hospital.
