Woman Accuses Female Osun Judge of Husband Snatching

The Chairman of the National Judicial Council, Justice Mahmud Mohammed  personally signed the querry that demanded response within 14 days from Justice Oloyede, a judge of Osun State judiciary upon a petition by a mother of four, Mrs. Emily Richard-Obire accusing her of having amourous affairs with her husband.

The querry dated July 28, 2015 and with reference number, NJC/S.29/HC.OS/16/1/55 was expected to have been responded to by the accused but that could not readily be ascertained at the press time.

The mother-of-four prayed the NJC in her petition to restrain the female judge “from further acts of having an affair with my husband,” expressing fear that if something urgent was not done, the judge might finally “snatch” her husband eventually and finally abdicate his responsibilities.

Nigeria and Biafra are Set to Return to Battlefield on September 22

This time, the battle is waged in the Federal High Court of law sitting in Owerri where the Bilie Human Rights Initiative  on behalf of the Supreme Council of Elders of the Indigenous People of Biafra, SCE-IPOB took Federal Government of Nigeria to court seeking self-determination.The suit which was filed on their behalf, by their legal counsel, A. C. Emeka of Mekadolf Law Chambers, Owerri had been slated to hold June 16, but it was adjourned till September 22 when the court failed to sit on the penultimate schedule.

Meanwhile, the presiding judge of the court, Justice Shuaibu had fined the duo defendants: the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Minister of Justice for failing to file their defence within the mandated time.

The crux of the legal battle as contained in the originating summons is that the claimants are seeking a declaration of the court  to enforce their right to self-determination, pursuant to the relevant Articles on African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, adding that they are equally asking the court to order the defendants to redress all wrongs inflicted on them by the defendants in consequence whereof.
