Lt. Moaz Kassasbeh who was captured 24th December 2014 might have been killed in a new video footage released by Islamic State of Syria and Levant group (ISIL). The 26 year old Jordanian was captured when his plane came down in a raid against the fundamentalists.

The news of the barbaric act by the ISIL shocked Jordanians and many took to the street vowing to avenge the blood of the hero.

The video of the purported killing showed the first lieutenant burnt alive in a cage.
In the wake of the development, King Abdullah of Jordan cut his visit to USA.

The US president Barrack Obama condemned it and said that it is "one more indication of the viciousness and barbarity" of IS.

"Today we stand together with the family of Moaz al-Kassasbeh," he said in a video statement.
"This will only make us more united and powerful."

The media in analysis of the video suggested that the young man must have been killed 3 January, 2015 even before the move to swap prisoners in order to secure his release was on top gear.

Jordan bid to secure his release by swapping him with a suicide bomber, Sajida al-Rishaw arrested 10 year agoin Amman, the capital of Jordan.
